vbXManager is used to manage vbSeries instruments. This includes configuring communications, proflashing, and copying or overwriting instrument databases. Essentially vbXManager provides a way to communicate with your instrument if it has been proflashed with a firmware version that is incompatible with your current version of Ascent.
This version of vbXManager includes vbSeries instrument firmware version 13.4.3, June 2013.

NOTE: Ascent 2011 includes a new database structure. Existing databases must be upgraded before they can be used in Ascent 2011. View this video for important information about the automatic database upgrade process.

Before upgrading existing software, firmware or instrument operating systems, please ensure all data is backed up from the device and saved to a secure location.
Notes
1: All existing CLK and hardware dongle licenses remain compatible with the Ascent 2011 software.
2: Ascent 2011 software is NOT compatible with Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, NT 4.0 or 2000. If your computer uses one of these legacy operating systems, please continue using Ascent 2006+ software. If your computer uses the Windows 2000 operating system, please continue to use Ascent 2009 software.
3: Ascent 2011 software is no longer packaged with the Microsoft .NET Framework. If your computer does not have Microsoft .NET Framework Version 3.5 SP1 installed please download and install the Framework from the following location: .NET Framework.
The Ascent 2011 software includes full documentation within its help menu. This information, together with upgrade guides, release documents and Q&A materials, is also included in the website downloads area in Adobe PDF format.

vbXManager 2011 Download
vbXManager is used to manage (configure communications, proflash, copy/overwrite instrument databases) vbX and vbBalancer instruments. For vbX instrument owners, vbXManager provides a means of communicating with their instrument if it has been proflashed with a firmware version that is incompatible with their current Ascent software.
vbXManager software now includes the ability to download balance reports from balancing instruments and to format, export or directly print these imported reports. The software also includes vbX and vbBalancer instrument firmware version 11.2.6 with several significant instrument enhancements. Build 11.2.14, 20 July 2011.

Ascent 2008
Upgrading to Ascent 2008 is recommended if you have been using an older version of Ascent with a USB license dongle.
Once upgraded, all databases should be opened and allow Ascent's database upgrade wizard upgrade each database.
When all database upgrades are complete, users may upgrade to the latest version of Ascent.
