Accelerometer Standard Side Entry

Commtest’s standard side entry 100 mV/g accelerometer is midsized and great for portable or online use. Use this sensor where top entry is not possible. This accelerometer comes in a 316L stainless steel housing with a welded hermetic seal and measures up to 50 g (490 m/s2 and from 30 to 900 000 CPM; 0.5 to 15 000 Hz at ±3 dB).

This accelerometer is designed for operation in temperatures from -58 to 250 °F (-50 to 121 °C. The side electrical connection is 2-Pin MIL-C-5015. Use ¼-28 integral mounting stud. Mounting torque is 2 to 5 ft-lb (2.7 to 6.8 N-m).

NOTE: This is NOT suitable for use in Class I Division 2 environments or use with Class I Division 2 rated instruments.

Accelerometer Standard Top Entry (C1D2)

Commtest's AM1-100-T2 standard top entry 100 mV/g C1D2 accelerometer has great performance at a reasonable price. This mid size, top entry sensor is great for portable or online use. This accelerometer comes standard with Commtest portable instruments.

This accelerometer comes in a stainless steel housing with a welded hermetic seal and measures up to 80 g (24 to 780 000 CPM 0.4 to 13 000 Hz). This accelerometer is designed for operation in temperatures from -58 to 250 °F (-50 to 121 °C. The top end electrical connection is 2-Pin MIL-C-5015. Use ¼-28 with socket head set screw, brass tip, stainless steel 3/8 in long mounting stud. Mounting torque is 2 to 5 ft-lb (2.7 to 6.8 Nm)

Certified for use in Class I Division 2 environments only when used with a Class I Division 2 rated vbX instrument in accordance with drawing CIL2100VBX 'vbX Installation Control Drawing for Hazardous Locations'.

Adapter Universal

Commtest’s universal power adapter has automatic switching to detect 110 or 220 V power from the mains power outlet. Input ranges from 100-240 V AC with a 12 VDC, 3A output. This universal power adapter is suitable for Commtest’s vbSeries and vbClassic instruments. Warning: using a power supply other than the one provided by Commtest will damage the instrument and void your warranty. Power plug and cable must be purchased separately for connection to mains. Vibration Listening Amplifier

Commtest’s vibration listening amplifier allows you to easily hear the vibration signal directly from the accelerometer while collecting vibration data. Accelerometer Coiled Cable

Commtest’s coiled cable comes standard with the Commtest portable instrument. Commtest's introduction of the revolutionary breakaway safety connection feature quickly became an industry standard. Use with the portable instrument for data collection. Coiled cable stretched to 10 ft (3 m) and retracts to a comfortable length for carrying. The cable has a standard 2 pin mil style connector for the accelerometer and BNC connector for the instrument.

Carry Bag Instrument

Commtest's black polyester bag is used for storing Commtest new vbSeries and vbClassic instruments. This carry bag is suitable for carrying your Commtest instrument and accessories.

Bag consists of a lined main compartment with removable divider attached to the inside with Velcro. The bag has three outside pockets: two on the side and one on the front. The side pockets held in place with Velcro are perfect for carrying extra cables, accelerometers, and power supplies. Front zippered pocket has room for manuals, warranty cards, and quality assurance information. Bag closes with plastic spring clip and also has adjustable shoulder carrying strap.

The Commtest logo is on the bag for easy identification.

Accelerometer Magnetic Base

Strong, rare earth two pole magnet is suitable for mounting accelerometer on a machine for portable instruments.

The magnet comes with a magnet keeper (solid disk or washer) that needs to be removed prior to taking a reading. When replacing the magnet keeper or attaching the magnet to a machine, exercise caution. Fingers can easily be caught between the magnet and the machine.

Accelerometer Straight Cable

This black straight cable comes standard in the balancing kit and may be used where a coiled cable cannot be used or as an alternate if the coiled cable is damaged. BNC to two pin Mil style connector meets the industry standard and fits most accelerometers. When used in multichannel data collection or balancing, the color coded red or green cable termination allows for easy identification.

Neck Strap with Sensor Keeper

Keyphasor® Tachometer Cable (vbSeries)

This black Keyphasor cable with BNC to LEMO connectors is used with vbSeries instruments. This cable accepts the negative polarity tach signals generated when a proximity probe crosses a shaft keyway. Stainless Steel Safety Rings

Stainless steel safety rings with 2.5 turns are provided as standard with the vbSeries Instrument. The neck straps are designed to connect to the rings. The rings are attached to the side rails of the instrument. This is a safety feature designed as a 10kg safety release by the rings. The strap must not be connected directly to the instrument. Connect the safety strap to the rings.
