The Cost of Optimum Balance
Sighting the end of a 20-year history of paying contractors to balance his rollers to a compromising 2.5 Grade standard, Alan set an ambitious challenge: to build his own balancing machine using Commtest technology.
After only a few weeks, Alan and his team surpassed the challenge, and are now the proud owners of a super roller-balancing machine that is achieving an optimum balance grade of 0.4 or 1.2 gms of residual imbalance - matching the best that any contract service could offer, and 4 times higher than the ISO1940 standard of Grade 16.
Balancing is not a Black Art
After only a few weeks on the job, the DTS Precision Balancer has successfully balanced nine full sets of rollers, achieved savings of AU$32,000, and delivered benefits that have far exceeded expectations.
