What is a Route?

A Route is contained in a folder and is an ordered list of some or all of the measurement locations in that folder. A route cannot contain measurement locations from any other folder.

You may have more than one route in a folder. When a route is sent to the instrument, all of the machines, points and measurement locations in the folder will still be sent to the instrument, even if the route does not refer to them.

Note: A measurement location must contain at least one schedule entry for it to appear in a route. The instrument needs to know what type of measurement to take - this information is contained in the schedule entry.
